"Mountains and Waves"

Music and colors from Epirus and Macedonia to Thrace, the Aegean islands and Central Asia, keep the ties of the people alive, bridging yesterday with today and tomorrow.



Dimitris Yfantis, recognizable through his own way of approaching traditional Greek music, a way shaped both by the origins of his particular homeland, Ioannina, and by his apprenticeship with Haig Yazdjian, classical singing lessons and his involvement with a rich variety of wind and stringed musical instruments. He has a remarkable music career with a record presence since 1997 and great collaborations with the leading composers and performers of Greek traditional, folk, art, but also rock and ethnic music. With the vocal form "Trifono" he acquires two platinum and three gold records (2002). His songs have become known by renowned performers and have traveled in and out of Greece.
He has written music for the theatrical performance "Damned Marriage" of the group "Expression" and has received excellent reviews for the music and interpretation of the translated choir of Antigone "Love, Win in Battle" and the play "Dodoni" by Nikos Xydakis, at Ancient theater of Dodoni.
He teaches traditional song and traditional instruments in recognized Conservatories, while he has also taught in the Department of Folk and Traditional Instruments of T.E.I. Epirus.

Apostolis Vangelakis on wind instruments, Panagiotis Konstantinidis on accordion, Elias Mavrikis on strings and Lazaros Akrivopoulos on percussion, are the main quartet of the band "Bridges".
A group of musicians who approach, with special respect, the traditional and modern Greek music and attempt a special artistic approach, having as a starting point of their collaboration in 2015 and the performances at the Rythmos Stage and the Ateneum Celari.
Each of them has a degree in classical and Byzantine music and a remarkable many years of personal experience in the field of Greek music, as they count collaborations with leading performers and musicians. They have accompanied numerous music and dance performances in Greece, Europe, America and Canada.
Numerous and varied are their participations in television music shows and tributes.
Through teaching in Music Schools and recognized Conservatories they transfer knowledge, experience and love for music to children, keeping alive the tradition of Greek music.
